Travel and Accommodation Guide 2016
Travel
If you are travelling in by train then you will find a taxi rank right outside the station which is generally very well serviced, or by phoning you can book a private hire car. Alternatively, the city centre is only about a 15 minute walk from the station so that is always an option.
If you are driving then please be aware that parking in the city can be somewhat limited and occasionally pricey. The closest large car park to the venue and our partner hotel is marked on the map, there is space for around 1200 cars there at £12/24 hours. You can also have a look on Parkopedia to see if there are any better options if you are staying elsewhere or just visiting for the day.
Accommodation
The friendly and helpful staff at Jury’s Inn went out of their way to welcome our guests last year, and they are once again offering a special rate to our attendees. The hotel is just a short walk from the venue, and from the historic Barbican where a lot of the Plymouth nightlife is located so is ideally situated. To take advantage of the discount just click here to book your room and enter the promo code ‘FILM’.
If you are after a bit more space, or a bit more of an adventure why not check out what is available nearby at AirB&B. You can use the to connect with other attending filmmakers to reduce the costs, or just create more of a party atmosphere. The venue itself actually has a flat which is available (at the time of writing), and you can’t get much closer than that.
Further Help
If you have any question please do get in touch with us, also if you have any questions for, or about the venues themselves, you can get in touch with The Arts Centre or Rumpus Cosy directly. We look forward to welcoming you to the Plymouth Film Festival 2016!
